Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has admitted that his team didn't compete after their 5-0 defeat at Bolton Wanderers.
The fixture at the Reebok Stadium was the Potters' third in a week, but Pulis has refused to blame their busy schedule for the heavy loss.
"We haven't competed today, we were poor and second best in every department," said Pulis.
"Give Bolton credit, take nothing away from them, but how we played today was just not good enough.
"The run of fixtures haven't helped. To play Monday night, to play Thursday night and then a Sunday is difficult but that is no excuse for what happened today."
The result has left Stoke in 13th place in the Premier League table, while Bolton are now one point from safety.
