Stuttgart's struggles this season have continued after being held to a 2-2 draw by bottom side Eintracht Braunschweig in the Bundesliga.
Both teams are struggling in the league and the opening of the game suggested as much. Arthur Boka attempted the spectacular from a corner, but his shot went flying over the bar.
Braunschweig started to get on top of the contest and could have been ahead on 15 minutes. Ermin Bicakcic did well to meet Jan Hochscheidt's free kick, but he could only direct his header over the bar.
It was the away side who took the lead midway through the half with Hochscheidt turning and finishing well into the top corner.
However, just five minutes later Stuttgart were level. Alexandru Maxim raced into the box and finished low, hurting himself in the act of scoring but was able to carry on.
Then before the break the turnaround was complete for the home side as Martin Harnik did brilliantly to fire a low shot in from the edge of the box.
After the restart Christian Gentner had the chance to extend the advantage from the penalty spot after Daniel Davari brought down Harnik, but the keeper made amends by saving the effort.
It was to prove an important save as with 10 minutes to go Braunschweig snatched a share of the points with a deserved goal from Bicakcic.
