Alexander Zorniger has lost his job as the head coach of Stuttgart.
The weekend's 4-0 home defeat at the hands of Augsburg, which was Stuttgart's ninth of the season, has left Die Roten 16th in the Bundesliga standings.
Following a board meeting earlier today, the decision was taken to part company with 48-year-old Zorniger, who only took control at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in May.
Under-23 coach Jurgen Kramny has been put in temporary charge of the first team as they prepare for Sunday's encounter against Borussia Dortmund.
