Sunderland and Crystal Palace are playing out a goalless draw after 45 minutes of their match at the Stadium of Light.
It was a lively start by the hosts, with Steven Fletcher heading over the bar. Julian Speroni also had to push away Marcos Alonso's low shot.
A long ball down the left released Alonso, who found Adam Johnson with a drilled cross, but the winger was unable to keep his shot down.
Sunderland continued to dominate, and more pressure by the home side resulted in Johnson flicking a cross into the box. Fletcher, however, was unable to reach it.
Ki Sung-Yueng also hammered a shot wide for the Black Cats, before Fletcher was inches away from connecting with Fabio Borini's cross.
