Steve Bruce believes that his Sunderland side "thoroughly deserved" their 2-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers this afternoon.
Goals from Stephane Sessegnon and Nicklas Bendtner sealed the points for Bruce's team after the break and the manager is hoping that they can go on to produce a string of wins.
"We needed a few results," Bruce told Sky Sports News. "Today has been one of those days when we've thoroughly deserved it.
"Hopefully things have changed and turned around. Hopefully now we can go on some sort of run."
Next up for the Black Cats is a home fixture against Aston Villa.
