Sunderland midfielder Lee Cattermole has revealed that he was frustrated with the manner of his side's defeat to Manchester United.
The Black Cats fended off the challenge from Louis van Gaal's men in the first half, but conceded in stoppage time when Memphis Depay found the net from close range.
Their woes were compounded after half time when Wayne Rooney scored within a minute of the restart, while Juan Mata sealed the win for the Red Devils with a late strike.
Cattermole told the club's official website: "We were in the game but the goal just before half time was massive. It was frustrating for us because we could hear the crowd and see the frustration in their players, and you could see the work we've done over the past couple of days on the pitch.
"We showed first half today how organised we were but as I said the goal took the stuffing out of us a little bit, but that happens and then straight after half time they scored another which was disappointing.
"We have to move on and move on quick because the next six or seven games are massive."
Sunderland remained bottom of the Premier League as a result of their defeat.
