Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio was reportedly angry this weekend as a team full of senior players lost 3-1 in a behind-closed-doors friendly against the club's academy side.
Di Canio arranged the friendly to give a string of players time on the pitch during the international break, but has been left disappointed with their performance.
A Black Cats side full of first-team regulars were beaten by Sunderland's Under-21 team to leave Di Canio ruing the exercise, according to The Mirror.
The Italian then told his players not to mention the game and spent a considerable amount of time analysing the match in great detail.
Sunderland have failed to win any of their first three Premier League games this season, claiming one point either side of defeats to Fulham and Crystal Palace.
