Burnley manager Sean Dyche is reportedly on the list of Sunderland's targets for their head coach vacancy.
The Black Cats are looking for a new boss after Dick Advocaat decided not to take charge on a long-term basis.
Sunderland had been said to have identified Paul Clement as a potential successor to the Dutchman, but they are now reviewing their options after Derby County appointed him as their new head coach.
According to the Lancashire Telegraph, the Premier League side are keen to speak to Dyche.
The 43-year-old has earned praise for the job that he has done at Burnley. He led the club into the Premier League in 2014 and, despite their immediate relegation this season, they were praised for the quality of their performances in the top flight.
Dyche stated last week that he is happy to remain at Turf Moor.
