Sunderland have handed veteran striker Jermain Defoe his 400th Premier League appearance, naming him in the starting XI to face Norwich City.

The Black Cats have made two changes from the side that lost to Leicester City, with recent signing Yann M'Vila and Steven Fletcher joining the lineup.

M'Vila, making his Sunderland debut, becomes the 1,000th player to feature for the club.

Jack Rodwell drops to the bench, while Adam Johnson misses out with a shoulder injury.

Norwich have made two changes from the side that lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace, with Cameron Jerome and Nathan Redmond preferred to Lewis Grabban and Bradley Johnson.
