Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan is hopeful that he will be able to finalise a permanent move to Al Ain following a season-long loan.
The 26-year-old has been open about his desire to leave the Black Cats but a contract has yet to be signed at the United Arab Emirates club, despite months of waiting for the frontman.
"Al-Ain have shown an interest [in signing me on permanently]," said Gyan. "I am also interested in [staying]. I like the place and my family are also in love with the place."
The Ghana international finished the season as the club's top scorer after netting 19 goals.
