Sunderland have reportedly accepted a bid from Wigan Athletic for the services of winger James McClean.
Reports emerged yesterday stating that the recently-demoted Championship outfit had lodged an offer of £2m for the 24-year-old.
Following the Latics' approach, it is understood that a bid has been accepted by the Black Cats ahead of a proposed move to the DW Stadium, according to Sky Sports News.
The Republic of Ireland international was also thought to be a loan target for Blackburn Rovers.
