Queens Park Rangers defender Nedum Onuoha has reportedly emerged as a potential January target for Sunderland.
The North-East outfit find themselves in the Premier League relegation zone, and the Black Cats have won just one of their last eight games in the top flight.
Sunderland are allegedly struggling financially, meaning that David Moyes may have limited funds during the transfer window, but according to The Telegraph, Onuoha could make the switch to the Stadium of Light before the end of the month.
Onuoha has been at Loftus Road since January 2012, but it has been claimed that he has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave the club in January.
During the 2010-11 campaign, Onuoha made 31 league appearances for Sunderland during a loan spell from Manchester City.
