Sunderland are thought to be interested in signing Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Karl Henry.
The 29-year-old has recently been renamed as captain at Molineux following Roger Johnson's demotion.
Black Cats boss Martin O'Neill could now move for the player at the end of the season, according to The Mirror.
Henry, who has also been linked with a switch to West Bromwich Albion, joined Wolves in 2006 from Stoke City.
