Norwich City produced a superb 45 minutes of football to earn a 3-0 half-time advantage over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
The hosts came into the fixture on a six-match unbeaten run but were immediately put on the back foot by a lightning Canaries start.
After Swans stopper Gerhard Tremmel had denied Bradley Johnson with a smart save, Jonny Howson struck the base of the post with an effort from the edge of the area.
Goals from defensive pair Steven Whittaker and Sebastien Bassong then earned Norwich a two-goal advantage.
Whittaker opened his Canaries account by driving into the area from the right-back position and shooting low under Tremmel, before Bassong doubled the visitors' lead with a header from Grant Holt's cross.
Holt got himself on the scoresheet prior to the break to make Norwich's cushion even more comfortable, climbing high to convert a pinpoint Robert Snodgrass free kick into the home net.
