Swansea City star Michu has said that playing against Liverpool in the League Cup tonight will help the Spanish forward fulfil a personal ambition.
Michu revealed that he has always dreamed of playing at Anfield and cannot wait to take on the Reds in a match that will mark the Swans' first game against former manager Brendan Rodgers.
He told the club's official website: "When I was growing up, I heard a lot of stories about Anfield and the atmosphere during games.
"It is a special atmosphere and I've always thought about what it would feel like being part of the opposition side that played there. Hopefully I'll get that chance on Wednesday night.
"It would be great to win there and create history for the club."
The 26-year-old has been a revelation at the Liberty Stadium, scoring seven goals in 10 appearances since joining from Rayo Vallecano for a fee of £2m.
