Swansea City defender Garry Monk believes that the supporters should keep their focus on the team tonight as opposed to coming face to face with former manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Swans take on Liverpool at Anfield in the League Cup this evening and it is the first time that Rodgers has come up against the club that he left in the summer.
"It is important the fans remember that but we are there to win a game, all that matters is what we do as Swansea City," said Monk.
"I think if a few want to show their views that is up to them but the main thing I would say to the fans is back the team from start to finish, whatever you do before or after game is entirely up to them, but during that 90 minutes just focus on the boys on the field as that is all that matters."
Meanwhile, Swans boss Michael Laudrup believes that the club's fans will eventually forgive Rodgers.
