Sports Mole runs the rule over Swansea City's 1-1 draw with Hull City in the Premier League on Monday.

Swansea City and Hull City were forced to settle for a point apiece in their Premier League clash at the Liberty Stadium on Monday night.

Danny Graham scored the opener for the Tigers, before Chico Flores equalised after the break.

Was it a fair reflection of the match? Sports Mole delves into the details to find out.

Was the result fair?

While the statistics may suggest that Swansea were the better side, a point each is probably what the game warranted. The two sides were pretty even throughout the contest, with the majority of it being Swansea's attack against Hull's defence.

Swansea's performance

The Swans were far from their fluid best yet again today. They had the lion's share of possession but rarely threatened the Hull goal. They picked up after the break and got the crowd on their side, but they did not do enough to deserve a win.

Hull's performance

Despite being pretty unadventurous for large parts of the match, Hull defending terrifically, making the space very tight and not allowing Swansea much time to freely knock the ball about. Given their poor record on the road, they will be pleased with that result.

Sports Mole's man of the match

Danny Graham: Nobody particularly stood out so, having gone 30 games without scoring, Graham gets this award for netting the game's opener and opting not to celebrate against his former club despite the circumstances.

Biggest Gaffe

Not many to pick from here, but Martin Atkinson should have given a penalty to Hull after Dwight Tiendalli practically caught the ball from Alex Bruce's header in the second half. Stonewaller, I think, is the term.

Referee performance

Apart from the above incident, Atkinson actually had a very good game. He dished out several yellows that were all justified and kept a lid on a game that threatened to get out of control at times towards the end.

What next?

Swansea: The Swans make the long trip to face Norwich City on Sunday.

Hull: The Tigers return to the KC Stadium on Saturday evening when they welcome Stoke City.
