Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has insisted that Bafetimbi Gomis will be a good replacement for Wilfried Bony while the striker is at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Swans are due to be without their top scorer until February 8 at the latest as he competes in Equatorial Guinea with the Ivory Coast.
Gomis has found the net just four times in 21 games since he joined Swansea from Lyon in the summer, but Fabianski is confident that the Frenchman can make an impact during Bony's absence.
"He has waited a long time for a run in the team, but he will get it now and I'm sure he will deliver for us," he told the club's official website. "There are opportunities for the likes of Bafe to possibly have a run in the team and show why they deserve to stay in the starting XI."
Swansea are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they welcome West Ham United to the Liberty Stadium.
