Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has described this Saturday's home fixture with Queens Park Rangers as a "huge game".
The Dane has guided the Swans to eighth in the Premier League, but they will finish the weekend above Liverpool with a victory over Harry Redknapp's men.
"It's a very important game," said Laudrup. "Not because they are bottom of the table, but because it is a home game and we want to win it.
"We are still six points away from the magic 40 that everyone talks about, so we have some work to do.
"But we have two games before we play the [Capital One Cup] final [against Bradford City] and Saturday is one that I feel we have to win – it's a huge game."
Liverpool face West Bromwich Albion on Monday evening.
