Swansea City interim manager Garry Monk has insisted that he expects the club to open talks with him regarding a potential full-time contract at the end of the season.
Monk admitted, however, that the decision was not up to him so he is just making sure that his players are ready for the huge clash with Aston Villa on Saturday.
"I'm sure in the near future that talks will be happening," Sky Sports News quotes Monk as saying. "Hopefully I will sit down with the chairman and the board and see where they want to go and what part of their plans I come into.
"But my future is not down to me. I'm just focused on what I'm doing right now, trying to get the win against Villa."
Swansea are currently 13th in the Premier League with 36 points.
