Swansea City manager Garry Monk has praised the ability of new signing Tom Carroll ahead of his debut for the club.
The 22-year-old midfielder signed for the Swans from Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan last Friday.
The Welsh outfit will begin their Capital One Cup campaign tomorrow against Rotherham United at the Liberty Stadium.
"I've spoken to a lot of people who have trained with him and coached him and they speak very highly of him," ESPN quotes Monk as saying.
"He can show that good side of football we need because he's good with the ball. He can pass and move and get himself in good positions and I think he'll offer us another option."
Carroll has featured 23 times for Spurs since making his debut back in 2011.
