Swansea City boss Garry Monk has insisted that he is proud of his players following their 4-2 defeat to Manchester City.
The Swans saw their three-game winning run in the Premier League come to an end on Sunday as they were beaten by the former champions at the Liberty Stadium.
Swansea fought hard to pull the game back to 2-2 after finding themselves 2-0 down, but the visitors went into overdrive late on to secure the points.
"I am disappointed with the result, but once again the players' character and commitment was there to see," Monk is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"Our management of certain periods of the game didn't help us but we were playing against a very good team. I thought we could have got something out of the game, but it wasn't to be."
Swansea play their final game of the season on May 24 when they travel to Crystal Palace.
