Garry Monk could be handed a £500,000 bonus if he leads Swansea City to Premier League safety this season, a report claims.
Monk, who made the step up from playing to take over from Michael Laudrup at the start of February, had reportedly been managing the club on his player contract.
However, The Telegraph says that that has now changed, and club chairman Huw Jenkins has agreed to a bonus if they avoid relegation to the Championship.
The report also adds that former boss Laudrup would have been paid £1m for keeping the club up, and the Dane wants that to be factored in when a compensation package is agreed.
The Swans are 14th in the league table, five points clear of the bottom three.
