Swansea City manager Garry Monk has claimed that his side were worthy winners after they beat Southampton 1-0 at St Mary's on Sunday.
Jonjo Shelvey's long-range strike was enough to earn the Swans an impressive away win against the high-flying Saints, and Monk thought that his team were deserving of the points.
He told Sky Sports News: "I thought we deserved it in the end. I thought tactically, we had a good game plan, and we stuck to it.
"There were moments when we were going to have to defend and put bodies on the line but overall, we frustrated them and, when we had our chances, we had one off the post and then a great strike that could have won any match.
"We are back on track and the performance from everyone was very good."
The victory leaves Monk's side in ninth in the Premier League.
