Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has hailed the heroics of goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski following the team's 1-0 win over Arsenal.
Fabianski was in inspired form at the Emirates Stadium last night as the Swans recorded their second victory of the season over the Gunners.
Sigurdsson believes that the Pole, who left Arsenal for the Liberty Stadium at the start of the season, gave the performance of his career against his former club.
"Fabianski was fantastic in goal, and the game-plan worked perfectly," he told Swansea's official website. "The way we set up meant they had a lot of the ball and we were going to be defending a lot of the time, but he made some fantastic saves.
"He has been amazing all season and he showed once again how important he is for us. He took the pressure off us by coming out for crosses. It was a great performance by him. It was probably the best performance of his career – he was that good."
Swansea are back in Premier League action on Sunday when they entertain former champions Manchester City.
