Swansea City have decided to bring forward scheduled knee surgery for goalkeeper Michel Vorm.
The Dutchman had originally been expected to go under the knife to solve a long-standing knee problem in January, but the Premier League outfit have announced that he will have the operation today.
A statement from the club said: "Surgeons will explore the knee before carrying out work on clearing any loose ligaments and fragments of bone, and a diagnosis on the length of time he will be sidelined depends on the scale of the operation."
The Swans are currently 10th in the league table.
