Swansea City have appealed the red card shown to Lukasz Fabianski in yesterday's Premier League match against West Ham United.
The goalkeeper was given his marching orders by referee Chris Foy for what was adjudged to be a professional foul in the 68th minute.
The official deemed that Fabianski had denied Diafra Sakho a clear goalscoring opportunity, but the West Ham man wasn't felled by the challenge and went on to hit the post after running on to the ball.
Replays appear to show that Foy blew his whistle moments after the two collided so may have ruled out the goal had Sakho's shot from a narrow angle ended up in the net.
Swansea went on to lose the match 3-1 at Upton Park.
