Andre Ayew has described Garry Monk as a "great manager" despite Swansea City having won just once in their last 10 matches.
The Welsh side had to come from two goals down to secure a draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League yesterday, with reports suggesting that defeat to last season's Championship winners would have resulted in the manager's dismissal.
"[Monk] shows us a lot of support and confidence. We were trying to give it back to him on the pitch. He's a great manager, we know what he did last season. Everything's going to get back into shape and we just need some time," the Daily Mail quotes the club's top scorer as saying.
"You need that in football when things are difficult. We believe we have great players, a great squad, a great manager and everything will be OK. We just need to keep working hard and don't give up."
Ayew, who joined the club from Marseille in the summer, scored his sixth goal in 13 league appearances in yesterday's stalemate.
