Swansea City striker Rory Donnelly has claimed that Scott Sinclair persuaded him to complete his move to the Liberty Stadium last month.
The Northern Irish striker, 20, completed his move from Cliftonville in January, and there were suggestions that Liverpool and Everton had also been chasing his signature.
Donnelly, however, has revealed that Sinclair had warned him off joining a high-profile side.
"I was chatting with Scott Sinclair. He went to Chelsea and he said you can get lost at such a big club. He's come here and has done very well and the gaffer played a really big part as well," Donnelly told the South Wales Evening Post.
"It's more like a family club. The supporters get on really well with the players. There are no big-time players here."
Donnelly scored 20 goals in 49 games for Cliftonville.
