Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has revealed that he is confident that he will secure the services of a new signing on a loan basis before tonight's 11pm transfer deadline.
It is believed that the Dane is keen to add another striker to his squad, but he was unwilling to confirm the identity of his target.
"We will be signing someone from abroad. We had some players in the UK with different passports we were looking at, but they were not possible for one reason or another," he told Sky Sports News.
"In the end I think we will probably get a player from abroad. It will be a loan deal with the option of buying him if he does well. The club have already spent a lot of money this summer, so I think that's a good way to do it."
Reports have claimed that Getafe's Alvaro Vazquez is high on Laudrup's wishlist.
