Swansea City manager Garry Monk has confirmed that the arrival of Jack Cork from Southampton is imminent.
The midfielder is believed to have opened talks with the Welsh outfit after deciding against signing a new contract at St Mary's.
"I understand there was an offer in place with a new contract [at Southampton], for whatever reason he decided not to sign that contract," Monk told reporters.
"We're very pleased to have him at the club, or have him very soon. He's already got good experience at this level. Playing in a good team at a good club, his grounding's very good. He's still at a good age to develop him into a top midfielder."
The 25-year-old, who has 13 England Under-21 caps to his name, joined the Saints from Chelsea back in 2011.
