Fabio Quagliarella scored a double as Torino eased to a 2-0 win over Sampdoria to maintain their unbeaten start to the Serie A season.
The hosts made a strong start to the match and they took the lead in the 17th minute when Quagliarella met a cross from Bruno Peres and powered a header into the roof of the net.
Torino doubled their advantage seven minutes later as Andrea Belotti drilled a low ball across the face of goal, which was tapped in from point-blank range at the back post by Quagliarella.
At the start of the second half the visitors almost pulled a goal back when Roberto Soriano rounded the keeper and delivered a low cross into the box, but Eder was unable to turn the ball into the net.
Torino remained a threat on the counter and Peres nearly grabbed a third goal when he drove through the midfield and fired in a strike from the edge of the area that was held by Emiliano Viviano.
In the closing stages Joaquin Correa almost pulled a goal back for the visitors with a fierce attempt from outside the box, but Daniele Padelli palmed away his shot as Torino held on to take the points.
