Federico Higuain scored both goals as the Columbus Crew eased to a 2-0 win over Toronto FC in the MLS.
Chad Marshall came within inches of heading Columbus into the lead after five minutes when he headed a Federico Higuain corner wide.
Toronto struggled to deal with the tempo of the contest in the early stages and were punished in the 19th minute when Higuain took advantage of some poor marking to slot home from inside the box.
Justin Meram unleashed a brilliant effort from the edge of the box later on in the first period but his effort was superbly tipped around the post by Joe Bendik.
Columbus continued to dominate after the interval, with Dominic Oduro coming close to doubling the lead with a powerful effort from just outside the area.
The hosts did find their second of the game in the 67th minute when Higuain collected a pass from Jairo Arrieta before drilling a 25-yard shot past Bendik.
Toronto rarely threatened in the closing stages as Columbus coasted to a comfortable home triumph.
