Plymouth Argyle have entered the playoff spots in League Two after edging past Tranmere Rovers this afternoon.
The first chance of the game went to Argyle after Reuben Reid played Lewis Alessandra through, but his shot from the edge of box was pushed away by Peter Brezovan.
At the other end, Kayode Odejayi fired a loose ball wide following confusion between Lee Cox and Curtis Nelson.
Argyle went in front after a cross from the right side by Anthony O'Connor found Reid, who powered a header past Brezovan.
It was a deserved goal for the visitors after long spells of domination during the half.
Following the restart, Max Power sent in a cross for George Donnelly, but his header was saved well by Luke McCormick.
It was the first of many chances for the hosts as the game went on, with Argyle struggling to contain Tranmere as they ramped up the pressure.
Odejayi looked like he might get a touch on Danny Holmes inviting ball across the six-yard box, but he fell agonisingly short to leave Argyle with a 0-1 win.
