Roma are rather fortunate to be level at Udinese this afternoon after a frantic first half, largely dominated by Francesco Guidolin's side.
The Giallorossi went into the match without club captain Francesco Totti and Gervinho through injury, giving Marco Borriello a rare chance in attack for the 100% starters.
Udinese started brightly and nearly took the lead after three minutes through Luis Muriel, who hit the foot of the post with a fierce low drive after a swift counter.
Roma then went close through Daniele De Rossi, with Miralem Pjanic also flashing wide from range.
Just before the break Udinese once again came within inches of breaking the deadlock, but Leandro Castan's acrobatic clearance on the line stopped Gabriel Silva's chip finding the target as the first period finished goalless.
