Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin has told Antonio Di Natale to forget any thoughts of retirement following his performance against Chievo this afternoon.
Di Natale scored a brace to help his side record a 3-1 victory over the Flying Donkeys, including a stunning volley from a tight angle.
Guildolin believes that the 35-year-old is capable of continuing his Serie A career next season after reaching 20 goals for the current campaign.
He told Rai Sport: "I hope he stays with us, or at least continues to play football.
"I've never had the opportunity to train very large teams, but champions do. And Di Natale is one of these.
"And to think that a couple of seasons ago he could of been wearing the black and white of Juventus."
The Zebrette are currently ninth in Serie A, five points off a Europa League place.
