Hellas Verona have claimed a 3-1 win over Udinese in their Serie A match at the Stadio Friuli.
The visitors took the lead early on when Luca Toni picked up a pass from Raphael Martinho, before driving towards goal and firing in a low shot past Zeljko Brkic.
Verona scored their second of the game when Orestes Romulo slipped a pass into the box, which Toni latched onto, before he lifted the ball past the on-rushing keeper.
Two minutes before the end of the first half, Udinese were given a way back into the game. Roberto Pereyra controlled a loose ball in the area, before turning and firing in a low volley past Rafael.
Juan Manuel Iturbe restored Verona's two-goal cushion with 20 minutes of the game left to play after bursting into the box and firing a strike into the bottom corner that gave Brkic no chance.
The hosts came close soon after through Antonio Di Natale, who saw his strike from the edge of the box head just wide of the far post.
With two minutes left to play, Bruno Fernandes fired an effort against the post for Udinese, but after coming under pressure late on, Verona managed to hold on and claim the three points.
