Hellas Verona have climbed up to fifth in Serie A with a 4-1 win against Lazio at home.
The hosts took the lead as early as the fifth minute when Luca Toni headed home Jorginho Frello's delivery from close range.
Lazio rallied back and equalised on 27 minutes through Lucas Biglia, who connected with an Antonio Candreva corner and headed in past Rafael.
However, Hellas went into the break 2-1 up, thanks to Juan Manuel Iturbe's free-kick goal in the 44th minute.
Lazio stepped up their game after the interval with Lorik Cana, Ogenyi Onazi and Candreva all testing Rafael in the home side's goal in the opening 10 minutes of the second half.
However, Hellas virtually wrapped up the points in the 63rd minute with their third goal. The hosts launched a counter-attack that allowed Toni to release Romulo to slam home from close range.
Toni himself rounded up the scoring with 12 minutes remaining on the clock, finding the target from close range after being set up by Frello.
