Diego Godin has claimed that he is confident of Uruguay's chances of success at the World Cup.
The South Americans have been drawn in the same group as England and Italy, but Godin believes that his country has the quality in their squad needed to reach the knockout stages.
"I believe we are a better side than before with excellent players. We have prepared superbly and believe in our potential," he is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.
"The atmosphere in the camp has been brilliant. It is a tough group, everyone will fancy their chances of getting through the group. There are no favourites.
"Costa Rica will be a difficult game. They have nothing to lose."
Uruguay face Costa Rica in their opening Group D match on Saturday.
