Valencia striker Alvaro Negredo has urged head coach Nuno to deploy him and Paco Alcacer as a front two for Los Che this season.
Nuno is known to favour a system that only has room for one central striker, but Negredo and Alcacer both started Valencia's 1-0 win over Granada on Friday.
Last season's fourth-place finishers in Spain's top flight have struggled in the early part of this campaign, but Negredo has said that a partnership with Alcacer would bring success.
"We [Paco Alcacer and I] can play together, although the decision lies with the coach. It's a system we can play in and it's a pleasure to play with Paco," Negredo told reporters.
Negredo and Alcacer have both scored once in the league this season.
