Hellas Verona claimed a 3-1 victory over Parma in Serie A this afternoon to end a five-game winless home run.
Luca Toni came close early on for the hosts when he worked some space in the box, before unleashing a strike that was beaten behind by the keeper.
Verona continued to dominate and they took the lead with six minutes left in the first half as Jacopo Sala drilled a low shot into the corner from just outside the box.
The visitors grew into the match following the break and they equalised just past the hour mark when Francesco Lodi bent a low free kick into the corner.
Within nine minutes, Verona had retaken the lead as Toni arrived at the front post to volley in Mattia Valoti's cross.
Toni missed the chance to grab a third goal soon after when he was played in by Nicolas Lopez and drilled a shot inches wide of the post.
Verona finally made sure of the points in stoppage time when Valoti raced through on goal, before rounding the keeper and slotting the ball into the empty net.
