A pair of early goals have helped Bologna to a 2-0 win over Hellas Verona and lifted them out of the Serie A relegation places.
The visitors took just six minutes to open the scoring, Emanuele Giaccherini firing into the top corner after collecting a cross from Adam Masina.
Roberto Donadoni's men doubled their advantage eight minutes later when Godfred Donsah linked up with Mattia Destro before drilling a shot into the centre of goal.
Emil Hallfredsson almost registered a swift response for Verona at the other end when he gained possession outside the area and let fly, testing Antonio Mirante in the Bologna goal.
Verona had another chance to claw a goal back early in the second half when Juanito Gomez headed Emil Hallfredsson's cross high and wide from close range, but Bologna then contained them for a lengthy spell.
The visitors had a handful of chances to extend their lead further, before Matteo Brighi blew a last-ditch attempt for Verona in the final minute.
The result moved Bologna up to 16th place in the table, while Verona are in trouble in 19th, seven points away from a position of safety.
