Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio has admitted that "La Liga is now entering a decisive phase" as the second half of the season gathers pace.
As it stands, the Yellow Submarine sit in fifth position in the table on their return to the top flight, just four points off the top four with 15 matches remaining.
"La Liga is now entering a decisive phase in which we'll really start to see where each team can go," he told reporters at a press conference.
"We've got plenty of enthusiasm to stay as high as we possibly can and to see if we can get into Europe, but to do that, the first thing we need to do is beat Celta Vigo this weekend.
"We need to remain strong at home, where we've had good feelings in recent games. It will be tough, but with a win we could maintain our advantage."
Villarreal have won 12 of their 23 league games this season.
