Bertrand Traore scored twice as Vitesse ended a run of seven matches without a win by beating Heracles 3-0 in the Eredivisie.
Vitesse were on top from the first whistle, and they came close to breaking the deadlock when Dennis Telgenkamp tipped over Zakaria Labyad's powerful strike.
However, they were ahead moments later when Renato Ibarra released Traore, who held his nerve to pick out the bottom corner.
Their lead was doubled when the hosts soaked up pressure before launching a counter-attack which was emphatically completed by Labyad.
Vitesse edged a step closer to victory before the break when Valeri Kazaishvili released Traore, allowing the on-loan Chelsea striker to score his second of the afternoon from a tight angle.
Eloy Room made saves to deny both Wout Weghorst and Bryan Linssen in the second half as the home side survived the one extended spell of Heracles pressure.
However, the result never looked in doubt as Vitesse returned to winning ways with a comfortable victory.
