Vitesse and FC Twente have played out a battling 2-2 draw in this afternoon's Eredivisie clash at the GelreDome.
The hosts took the lead just after the quarter-hour mark when Marko Vejinovic's corner from the left floated past everyone and plummeted into the back of the Twente net.
In the 33rd minute, however, the visitors equalised when Youness Mokhtar fed Jesus Corona, who powered on and slotted home.
Moments later, Vitesse were back in front, again from a corner that was whipped in by Vejinovic and smashed in by Jan-Arie van der Heijden.
In the first few minutes of the second half, the home side were left in a precarious position when Davy Proepper was shown a straight red card by the referee for a foul in the box, which also yielded a penalty.
Hakim Ziyech duly stepped up and slotted the spot kick home to equalise for the second time in the game, with no further goals being scored to ensure that the points were be shared between the two sides.
