Wales manager Gary Speed has been hit by the loss of his right-hand man Damien Roden ahead of his team's Euro 2012 qualifying match with Switzerland tonight (Friday).
Wales performance coach Roden has been suspended by the Welsh FA over allegations surrounding the buying of water and vitamins.
Roden is accused of purchasing nutrition products from a company in which he has an interest.
"It is unsettling but the focus is on the team and we won't be using that as any sort of excuse," Speed commented.
"I wouldn't call it unsavoury. I can't go into it. I don't feel like it has undermined me at all."
Wales will take on Bulgaria on Tuesday after tonight's match at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea.
