Watford have confirmed that Ben Foster will be out of action until 2022 due to injury.

The Hornets goalkeeper was not available during the recent defeat against Leicester City, despite playing every game since Claudio Ranieri took over the club.

He suffered a groin strain in training prior to facing the Foxes which ruled him out of the game, leading to Daniel Bachmann getting the chance to start in goal.

That is something that is likely to continue as the club have now confirmed that Foster will be unavailable until January following a recent scan.

Watford are in action against Chelsea tonight and will also face Manchester City, Brentford, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United prior to the turn of the year.
