Watford's two-goal match-winner Troy Deeney has described this afternoon's Premier League victory over Crystal Palace as "massive".
The two teams went into today's match with only one win in 16 top-flight games between them, and Deeney's 82nd-minute winner saw the Hornets extend Palace's winless league run to nine games.
"It is a massive win," Watford captain Deeney told BBC Sport after the full-time whistle. "We target teams in and around us to take the points and it was a well-deserved victory, and a well-fought one.
"I thought we dominated the first half, but when they got a goal (through Emmanuel Adebayor) at the end of the half we knew a reaction was coming so it was about managing that.
"We are just getting closer to the 40-point mark, we will take that and keep looking up."
Today's win moved Watford up to eighth in the Premier League and just five points behind fifth-placed Manchester United, who were beaten at Sunderland in the early kickoff.
