Watford midfielder Lewis McGugan has insisted that he began to get frustrated after enduring a "long layoff" because of suspension.
McGugan has only served a one-match ban but he has spent more time on the sidelines because of the international break, and the former Nottingham Forest man has revealed that he is eager to return to the starting lineup against Yeovil Town on Saturday.
The 25-year-old told the London Evening Standard: "I am ready to get back into the thick of it. It has been a long, long layoff for me, with the international break and a week added onto that.
"I was training with the lads and they were raring to go for the weekend so it was frustrating knowing that I had another week to pass. But if I am called upon this weekend, I'm ready to go."
McGugan has scored five times in 16 appearances for the Hornets this season.
