Watford's new owner Giampaolo Pozzo has revealed that Gianfranco Zola has verbally agreed to become the club's manager.
The former West Ham United boss has been linked with the position at Vicarage Road, currently occupied by Sean Dyche, following Pozzo's takeover last month.
The Italian businessman said that he expects his son, Gino, to finalise the details without any problems.
"Zola? I think he will be our coach, we have a verbal agreement," Pozzo told Sky Sport Italia. "My son should still be in London tomorrow. There should be no problems for Zola."
Pozzo also owns Serie A club Udinese and La Liga outfit Granada.
